Head-Scarf Tutorial: Retro House Wife

50's House-wife

One of my favorite quick, look changers is a head scarf. Headbands have never really been my friend. They don’t have the patience to stay on my head for more than 3 minutes! I had given up hope, until I discovered the turban influenced way to tie a silk scarf. Wrap the scarf around your head with the ties in the front. With the tie on the top of the head rather than underneath, it allows for more control and much better tension allowing it to stay on your head much longer than other headbands and wraps. This turban like wrap gives a fun retro house wife look, and is a great way to add a pop of color to an outfit. Check out the picture tutorial below!
