I am loving Katy Perry’s style transformation lately. Gone are the crazy hair colors and skin-tight brightly colored mini dresses. I do love that Katy, but it’s so refreshing to see her a little more subdued and more refined, we get to see more of who she really is, still showing an eclectic style, just not so much in your face. And I have to admit I do love her dark long locks the best. I hope she keeps this trend going, and save her over the top looks for on the stage!
The temps are rising and it’s time to start thinking about dresses, tanks, shorts, and of course spring footwear…here are a few styles I am LOVING right now…
Report Jezzica Flat–Piperlime $70–I am obsessed, like they are in my shopping cart and i’m probably going to be buying them after i finish this post obsessed with them.
Aldo Lucyna–Piperlime $60–How fun is this print mixing?? This would definitely add a fun pop to a casual jeans and t-shirt look.
Steven Madden – Benadet–Steven Madden $70–Whenever i see black and tan mixed together I am always smitten, it really is a go-with-everything flat…and the little peak-a-boo of animal print on the heel? I mean…
Target Mossimo Teebe Tribal Sandal – $34.99–I’m completely obsessed with these, I often visit them during my weekly Target trips, I just think they might be a little high for me, I’m already pretty tall and these have 5″ heel…but they are still amazing and if you are petite or can handle a heel I highly recommend them!
Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars –DSW $44.95–There’s something so classically simple about a pair of white chucks, a go to summer casual look in my opinion.
…after all this shoe research I really need to walk away from my computer before i buy them ALL 🙂
Festival Fever is here and everyone is sharing their look. I’m sorry to be adding to the festival overload, but I can’t miss out on all the fashion fun! So, here’s the look I will be donning to whichever festival I’m lucky enough to snag tickets to…
The temps are rising, it might be 70 on Monday?!? Can I get a hallelujah! And I am ready for these warmer temps, I can’t wait to shed my winter coat and wear lighter layers in brighter colors. One look I can’t get enough of is eyelet, it’s everywhere from dresses, to pants, to tops and shoes. A great way to spice up your warmer weather wardrobe invest in some eyelet! I’m completely smitten with the last photo an eyelet dress from Free People and the Coral Dress from Madewell it also comes in a bright blue! These are pieces you can wear now with a cardigan or light jacket and booties all the way into hot summer temps with sandals.
(I can’t believe I am about to write this) Overalls are back, and they seem to be all the rage! With tapered/skinny legs you can see them paired with booties and pumps. On top are loose knits, crop tops, bra tops, and blouses, anything goes. The most stylish ladies are showing their love for overalls from the east to the west coast. Trendy? Overalls? Can it be true?
This is one trend I might be skipping, I can’t get the image of my young, super dorky self rockin’ overalls out of my head. What do you think should overalls be left to toddlers? Or can overalls really be styled up? Are you over it, or all over it?
Leather is everywhere my friends and you’ll want to get your hands on it, this trend will for sure seamlessly transition into next fall as well! Leather sleeves, leather collars, and leather trims are making there way onto jackets, blouses, t-shirts, skirts and pants! There are also some really great pleather/vegan leather options out there that help you achieve the look without braking the bank! If you want to splurge try to find pieces that you can wear now and bring back into your wardrobe for next fall, think neutrals and classic silhouettes. Here are some of my favorites!
Spring has almost officially sprung! Whether it be Easter, Passover, spring brunch, bridal showers or baby showers there is plenty of need for a sweet spring dress. There are so many beautiful options available at every price point!
My Week With Marilyn is finally on TV…(i know, i know i am totally behind on this) while watching (which isn’t it great?!?) I realized how much of a girl crush (i.e. I wishl we could be friends) I have on Michelle Williams. It all started with watching her on Dawson’s Creek, I have to be honest I was always a Joey kind of girl, but Jen Lindley really stole my heart in the end. I loved her and Heath together, and even now I loved her with Jason Segel (are they really broken up, so sad!) And of course her pixie cut is adorable and suits her so well. She’s classy, humble, and beautiful. If you need any friends Michelle, I’m here!
I wasn’t feeling too hot today so I took this opportunity to lay on the couch and catch up on some On Demand. I came across Wanderlust which is on HBO movies right now. I seriously laughed so hard through most of the movie!! Not only did this movie cheer up this sick girl, but as always Jennifer Aniston’s wardrobe has completely inspired me! She gives the perfect template for my festival wardrobe this season 🙂 Summer please come now and stay forever! Thank you!!
