All Eyes On Eyelet

The temps are rising, it might be 70 on Monday?!? Can I get a hallelujah! And I am ready for these warmer temps, I can’t wait to shed my winter coat and wear lighter layers in brighter colors. One look I can’t get enough of is eyelet, it’s everywhere from dresses, to pants, to tops and shoes. A great way to spice up your warmer weather wardrobe invest in some eyelet! I’m completely smitten with the last photo an eyelet dress from Free People and the Coral Dress from Madewell it also comes in a bright blue! These are pieces you can wear now with a cardigan or light jacket and booties all the way into hot summer temps with sandals.

Over it, or All Over It?

(I can’t believe I am about to write this) Overalls are back, and they seem to be all the rage! With tapered/skinny legs you can see them paired with booties and pumps. On top are loose knits, crop tops, bra tops, and blouses, anything goes. The most stylish ladies are showing their love for overalls from the east to the west coast. Trendy? Overalls? Can it be true?
This is one trend I might be skipping, I can’t get the image of my young, super dorky self rockin’ overalls out of my head. What do you think should overalls be left to toddlers? Or can overalls really be styled up? Are you over it, or all over it?

It’s safe to say that I have reached an unhealthy obsession with the color olive. I want it in EVERYTHING. and while it can’t replace black, because black is the new black (obvi)…it sure does pop well with it dontcha think? Must Haves are skinnies, cargos, and lightweight anorak jackets. Pop in with skirts, bags, and blouses. Pairs great with neutrals such as black, ivory, & white also great with hot pink and Chartreuse! Head to toe olive, probably not the best look…but do I love it that much that it might happen…maybe, maybe!

Best DIY List

I’ve always been drawn to neutrals, not only is it easy to create outfits, of course black goes with black, and a solid white t-shirt with a pair of denim; always a classic look. But it’s also my way of being a bit frugal, I can rationalize buying a great basic that I can always go to back to again and again. The problem is basics and neutrals can get so boring. So lately I’ve been adding in a pop of color (POC) just a little bit of color whether in a bright shoe, lip, or scarf to punch up an otherwise dull outfit.
